There are a few rules in place at Pyramid to ensure the safety of all Festival Patrons..

NO BYO Alcohol - please don't bother. It's a licencing law and you will be searched on arrival.
NO Glass at the festival including vegemite jars and salsa dips etc. Get the plastic ones!
NO Fireworks or Flares - They are extremely dangerous to you and everybody else. No sparklers either. It's a TOTAL FIRE BAN on-site.
NO Crowd Surfing
NO Gas Bottles, BBQ's or cooking equipment of any kind.
Camper vans with gas bottles will need to have gas bottles removed. Bring plenty of sandwiches and snack food etc. Great range of food caterers open 24hrs at the event.
AND some really good advice is NOT to overdo it. Drink lots of water. It's a very big event over three days with great acts playing at all hours - you want to catch as much as you can.

DO (it's for your own good):
Be sun smart  -
lobsters live in the ocean and maybe your wallet. We've seen some disturbing sites - use the lotion.
Drink plenty of water - keeps you going.
Use the bins provided  - keep it clean we're on the coast.
Get help if you're feeling unwell - take note of the medical centre location and your nearest security point.
Bring clothing for all types of weather - bring very warm cloths and jackets. Ski jackets and beanies are all go if it gets cold.

Police onsite - Police members will be based onsite this year. Please be aware that all the usual laws of Victoria apply at the festival and are enforceable by them at the Event.

Patrons are urged to consider the increased traffic expected on Phillip Island when planning their trip to Pyramid. Phillip Island is a popular holiday destination, especially over New Year's Eve, and heavier traffic is expected on the roads at this time. Please drive safely, be aware of peak travel times and allow extra time for travelling to and from the Festival.

Pyramid Rock Festival patrons are advised to exit the venue before 10.00am if they want to get out early and desire a fast exit off the Island. Police will be assisting with traffic management at Gate 1 and at the Phillip Island and Back Beach Road Intersection. Police will direct traffic at key intersections to give Pyramid Rock Festival traffic the majority of flow until 10.00am.  Last year this resulted in all traffic exiting by this time having a very quick run off the Island. Non- festival traffic will be encouraged to delay travel around the Island until after 11am.

Pyramid is thrilled to announce a few very special additions to Pyramid 2008's amazing line up...

ARIA award winners and one of the hardest working bands on the Australian touring circuit, THE PANICS. It's been a huge year for The Panics, playing sold out shows across the land and releasing their highly acclaimed album Cruel Guards. This will be one of the last times to catch The Panics live before they head overseas to tour and record a new album next year. Don't miss The Panics whipping the crowd up into a frenzy at Pyramid Rock 2008!

Modular DJs OOH EE and KATO are combining forces to bring the party to Pyramid! Ooh Ee and Kato are guaranteed to get you shakin' what your mamma gave you on the Pyramid dance floor!

Described as 'an enigmatic one man path to enlightenment through that age old ritual known as dance' DJ BENI is now set to rock The Pyramid Rock Festival in 2008!

The Vines Cancellation Press Release The Pyramid Rock Festival is saddened by the news of Craig Nicholls' condition of health and wish him, his family and the band all the best. Unfortunately we won't see THE VINES this year at Pyramid.
